My question. How much are you paying for 1000 (or whatever) 223 FMJ?

Having a debate here. I think one shop has top-notch pricing on ammo. My bud claims better prices elsewhere, but can't back it up other than 'he's sure'.

How much? What brand/type?

Thanks

DT

out here in Vancouver, if you can find stock i think it is around $300-350 for 1000 rounds of AmericanEagle FMJ

The above is from Wild West Shooting center in Edmonton.
It's about the best advertised case lot price I've seen out west, discounting norinco.

I haven't seen good prices on cases of ammo in Calgary since TSE had the Ruag gp90 in.
Wholesale and Russell's sports couldn't be bothered with selling by the case, when they can sell hunting ammo at $30+ for a box of 20....

Thanks, I'm right! :) Local pricing is about $260/1000.

.223 seems to be quite cheap in NL, I guess due to the massive quantities used. (I think 330,000+ seals were taken this year, with .223 apparently being the most common calibre).

I wasnt aware that we are allowed to import ammo from the US. What are the laws regarding that??

Man I must have been ripped off in Vancouver, I paid $ 400.00 for 1000 rounds of 62gr FMJ .223 ammo. Can anyone suggest a shop in the greater Vancouver area that offers a better price. I prefer to use 55 gr ammo, thanks.

I would just like to bring this back to the top again.

Officer487 : I have paid, in the last few years, about $350 for 1000rds of 55gr .223 from just about every store in the lower mainland.
Ammo supply is weird in Vancouver, it seems over-priced and scarce, every store owner says they don't have any, yet if you look a little east, ie Alberta, etc., everyone seems to have lots.
What makes me suspicious is that these same store owners that say "there is no .223 available right now" are the same ones shooting a few thousand rounds at the range or when the Tactical Response guys came to town.
Makes we wonder what is going on.

Squill - I love that - "we have 223 for a great price, but we don't have any in stock, and never will"
I have an awesome price on 223 too, just don't have any at the moment!
Now that is good marketing.
I recently found 1000rds of Federal 55gr 223 at Italian Sporting Goods for
~$320/1000 plus tax. My self and a friend bought the "last" 2 boxes.
