Now is probably a really good time to stock up on anything you might want in the next few years. If Democrats win big in the midterms the panic buying will begin stateside and likely go strong right through the next presidential election.

I have 2 red dots and 4 riflescopes made by Vortex. The oldest optics are 15 years and the newest are 3 years and all have seen heavy use. I haven't needed to do one warranty repair. But an optics thread wouldn't be complete without someone using a turd emoji about Vortex.

Prices in the US have gone up in products affected by Trumps import tariffs, remember it’s the importer that pays the tariff.

I would expect this to be true and a good reflection of those companies existing and changing supply chains.
If they use off shore components tariffs drive costs up, if they reshore the cost to do that drives up manufacturing costs…either way the final consumer pays more.
Non USA companies, using non USA components, distributing direct to Canada will have a distinct and sizeable cost advantage over those that don’t.
How this benefits American manufacturing still eludes me…and this extends to all products that flow from or through the USA…
I’m also pro used optics but snap up the deals soon as used prices are likely to climb as well.
All my opinion, YMMV.

I was browsing on some site sponsors and seen Leupold freedom for $745 plus tax. Think the increase is here already. I’m not a loopy fan so no affect for me but the fanboys are gonna need counselling I’m afraid!!😧

We got to get used to price increases not in the market for any new scope so this will not affect me - my scopes do not expire like a gallon of milk.

The dollar was severely devalued in the early 80s and again after 2008....covid put another huge nail in the coffin and price increases are as a result the new normal....why are people surprised....

The price increases and inflation corelate pretty directly to money in circulation per capita
 
I bought a Vortex Diamondback tactical FFP back in 21 for 500 bucks
That same scope is 700 plus now so everything is going up
If Leupold goes up 30% so will the others unfortunately
Just look at ammo and reloading component pricing during the last five years it’s sickening
