Prices for a Ruger 10/22?

Hello All!

I am in the market to purchase a Ruger 10/22, and would prefer to buy one here on CGN. What is the general going price for a used model? I was looking specifically for the 10/22 Carbine model. Bass Pro in Alberta has them for $290.00 + Tax. What kind of price should I be looking for in a used model of this type? Does anyone have one for sale for a reasonable amount (starving student syndrome )

You should be able to get a very gently used one for $250 shipped. This would be for a basic blued/wood model.

And be carefull about the prices on the EE on cheaper rifles, often it's cheaper to buy new.

New: $230-$300
Wholesale sells the basic blued/syn carbine for about $250, and about $280 for wood. If one catches your eye in the EE then make an offer based on these prices so that you dont over-pay. Theyre great little rifles that dont seem to age internally so as long as it functions then the rest is cosmetics. $200 is about as high as I would go personally for a bone-stock carbine thats been used. A little more for BNIB

I recently purchased a blued/ synthetic carbine from Canadian Tire here in Calgary for $235 plus gst. They also have 400 round bricks of American Eagle ammo for $18.99!

I didn't know that - I'm moving to Alberta, all there is to it!
Rifle good price, ammo good price, low tax, etc.
I've been working in Grande Prairie all this week - may be the place to relocate, I like it here

OP, buy it new, the price is right and guys always ask more than fair market for their used guns.. I think it's the attachment we feel towards them, fair enough..
