Prices on the rise?

I have been trying to buy a new M305 for a while now but everyone seems to be sold out. I did find a used one for $350. It will do. There are a lot of the $175-$199 SKS's around too. Should be grabbing a couple of those, I think in a few years they wont be a that price me thinks.
My mileage did vary. I bought an SS Loaded last year and this thing is built like a tank. It operates smoothly and outshoots me. I guess there are lemons everywhere...
Of the 400K or so civilian M14 clones in the USA, about 300K are Springer M1As.
The odds of a lemon M1A are higher than with all other brands combined.
Major issues aren't that common, and Springer's warranty can usually fix any problem.
I think that the major issue surrounding the price increases surrounding the M305 rifles has not been addressed.
From what I have been told these rifles are being built on receivers that were manufactured over 30 years ago.
The supply of these receivers is dwindling and new production cost will severely drive up the prices.
I do not know if there is any truth to this or just wild speculation but it seems plausible.

The guy with the answer to the receivers is "Different". Great guy and he KNOWS his stuff.
Send him your numbers and he'll tell you pretty much what time of day it was made and if it was raining.
My 2009 305 is built on a receiver made in 96 , and there is hardly a mark on it.
The appearance of receivers with excessive machining and even welding, in the last year or two is evidence, to me at least, that they are indeed using the stuff that failed QC back in the day.
Bear in mind also that many of the fine builders prefer receivers from rifles pre 07.
As soon as they start making NEW receivers the price is going to really go up, if they make them at all.
We aint seen nothing yet.

If you need to clear 300' of snow to get to work you should buy yourself a Honda HSS1332TCD.
It's expensive but worth every penny.
You can probably find a used HS1132TCD for a good price.
This is if you don't already own a tractor or pickup with a plow.
I bought a slightly used HS928TCD and I love it.
A snowblower thread about used M14 prices? Throw in some bacon and you've got pure Canadiana. Which brings me to my next question: which gun rack is best for snowblower use? Does your snowblower need multiple guns or is one enough?
You forgot maple syrup.
The TCD has an infinitely adjustable joystick control for the chute so it can double as a turret.
My guess is that a walk behind snowblower can't be considered a motor vehicle so shooting from a snowblower should be legal.

I know Im a Canadian now.
The first thing that crossed my mind was mini panzer and the lack of cup holders.
Sort of makes my Yardman look inadequate now.
But given the choice of an RFB or a new blower, I know which store Im heading to and it don't say Honda outside.
Hope to Christ that's the last of the bloody snow for this year...........I'm way too old for this crap LOL.
On a side note does any body know a good 12 gge round for smashing glaciers..
