Anyone noticed the price on used wing masters or old police/ security gun are crazy high.
Is that your way of saying you have a few to sell and are testing the waters?![]()
No. Such luck . Have been looking for more to build customers guns for people. BUT eveeything we gwt offered is stupid high price
Call China. Get some S&J 870s made up.im sure they'd sell bare receivers.
Aside from a doing retro tactical build, is there really any advantage to starting off with a Wingmaster or Police?
The quality of the machining and finishing on the older guns is superb, the actions are smooth, the triggers are crisp, you don't have to pound out the little dimples in the mag tube (there aren't any) and the metal takes a refinish very well. Those are the pros. The cons are that most are chambered for 2 3/4 only, and most don't have the flexi-tab modification - if you're looking at a $250-300 gun - you can fix both, if you really want to. Oh yes, and the barrel lengths can be quite amusing.

I'm well aware that they're much nicer out-of-the-box, but if you're going to be polishing, tuning and Cerekoting anyway, as with the typical custom offering, then is it worth paying a major premium for them?

The OP currently has a vz-58 listed... only 10,000 rounds fired and a bargain basement price of $1500. Yeah, I guess everything is expensive these days.
