Pricing on Ruger Mark III 22/45?

I'm looking to buy a Ruger Mark III 22/45 for my wife. I know Wholesale Sports has them for $279.95, but they are out of stock and probably will be for a little while. Does anyone know a store that has stock and isn't like $45 more then Wholesale Sports? I'm from Manitoba, but I'm willing to order online as long as the shipping price doesn't make it a lot more.

I'd also be interested in a used one (II/III 22/45) or even just the lower frame (looking to replace the barrel anyways).

Edit: Another option... Is it possible to order one from an American dealer and get shipped up to Canada somehow?

You sure can import it from the US. Fees will likely be more than the cost of the gun though.

I would rather mail order and support a smaller gun shop (PGT) than purchase from a "local" WSS. Just saying...
 
Two versions of Ruger Mark III: Mark III-512 and the Mark III-22/45. Identical except for the angle of the grip. 512 is slant closely resembling the classic Luger. 22/45 whose grip somewhat resembles a 1911. Functionality: Identical. Elwood EPPS carries Mk III-512. So as Al Flahertys. Williams Arms lists this 22/45 but out currently. Best bet is to call or visit your local stores for the availability. And if waiting is not an option, buy online from a Canadian dealer. Shipping should be around $ 25 average. You might as well consider a Browning Buckmark if you are really into the contour of a Mark III.

Oh sorry.. I didn't explain myself very well. There is a local small gun shop that quoted me $315-320. I'd rather support them if I was going to spend $320 online.

I'd still love to get one at WSS for $280 though. I have requested a couple more quotes and hopefully I will find a price closer to $280 at a local, smaller shop.

Is there a website somewhere that explains how to import a firearm from America? Thanks!

Go to the local store and buy it for the $315-$320. It's $30-$40 bucks:eek:
Unless your time and energy is worth nothing.

Thumbs up on that, plus the shipping cost would eat up most of what you were going to save............then there's the waiting for it to arrive.
