Pricing on used shotguns?

Back to used shotgun prices.someone is very happy this morning I am sure as they got a citori sporting clay edition for a really good deal out of the EE last night.I seen it minutes after it was posted but my mad money for this month was already spent.

Was that the one that had the stock shortened and the piece put back in? I thought about it for a minute as well then said naw. I already have a Citori 20 gauge skeet that will probably never get used.

Don't get offended my new members like me, please. Give us room.

I bow to your experience but I see you're easily touched by anything I do on this forum, by my every post. That happens with some people -- they are called antipodes. And that's fine by me, just don't get emotional about this. This is just a forum and I read a lot and want to participate. Don't know why you agenda is to shut me down, or so it seems, but I want to post a lot, I want to read, I want to write. This forum is the whole new avenue for me!

How about retaining some of that reading knowledge and put a price on your EE postings?
It's in the info package with some pretty simple rules...........aye?

I see there are getting to be more ads that are posted without an asking price. Rules clearly state that a price or specific trade has to be listed. I don't know why these listings aren't being deleted by moderators. Some have been running for awhile. Or is this becoming an auction site? I know it's hard to look through every ad but at the time of listing it should have an automatic function that won't let the ad be posted if a price is not shown. Other sites have this.

OH, there is a price. People just overlooked it.

I hadn't really looked at your ad. I was talking in general. In the last week I have seen 5 ads that had no prices, just best offer. Right now there is one listed on the antique EE. First he went to the antique forum and asked for prices. Then he posts on the EE and says make me an offer. A person could sit back and wait for X number of offers, then pick the highest one. That is the same as an auction which this forum is not supposed to be.

I actually just went and looked at your ad. What this tells me is that you are evidently and openly saying you are looking for ways to skirt around the rules. If that's the kind of person you are, then I surely wouldn't deal with you. I hope you don't think posting it like that does a whole lot for your forum reputation. But I don't suppose you really care. If you are trying to get the highest offer, then go post on Canada Gun Auction.

I tell you what. You listed $1.00. I will offer you $10.00. If that is your highest offer I'd better see the gun and as you described it. And don't kid yourself about saying you got a higher offer as the truth can be found out.

Honestly I take the price I want... And add 15-20% to account for low ballers ... Then when I have my gun up for 500 dollars... And I get 400 someone gets the deal they wanted and I get my money... I used to just put my prices that I wanted and realized that I'd always get talked down below what I thought was reasonable..

Now what's reasonable.. To me reasonable is based off how much I have used the gun... For example my last sks I sold was a laminate stock that I put 3500 rounds through... I paid 220 for it and sold it for 130 but. Listed it at 160 ... Think that was fair

That is good advice, wished I had thought if that before
