Do people not research fiream prices when they post a gun for sale or do they just want to tell the whole world how little they know about firearms and if they do research where do they get there prices $2400.00 are you kidding maybe it's a mistake

Some people do, some don't.
Some sellers could care less what the current "market" price is and want a certain dollar for there stuff even if it doesn't make sense.
What can you do it's a free world and folks can price where they like.

Saw that ad and thought, I would gladly sell my 16 ga (same model) for just the super low price of $1400 plus shipping...... hahahaha

The model 24 has always seemed to me to be a double barrelled Cooey 840....and I would price it accordingly. Maybe it's a typo and he meant 21

Whaaat's the issue.
Have you never seen a price that was too high at a gun show, or had too high a price on your stuff?
His junk, his price. He is welcome to keep it forever.

Some people just like to talk about their guns...
When the HACS had their two day show in Coquitlam there was a guy who had a .50 Cal Single shot with a $12,000 price tag.
Has showing off his new gopher gun and the ammo it fired...
I did buy a 50 Cal round for my shoe box collection , but for two years he was there with the same gun same sign and same price with the same schtick.

But, then this is cgn after all and someone wants to sell their prized SKS .....
And, I did look at the post with out pictures of the Model 24 SxS lastnight....fell asleep and thought nothing more of it.

Rob

** it would appear the guy guy either sold it or removed the posting because he was shamed in his asking price???

to be fair, people called john one/marstar crazy and unethical for selling SKS for close to 300 dollars.
ha..ha! nobody will ever pay 300 for an SKS!

this year...lack of sks for sale...chicom sks are going for 249 to 279. add a new stock and they are selling for 400-600 dollars.

300 doesn't seem so bad does it?

Guys, this is probably a strategy deployed by the seller.. maybe his wife said he has too many guns and has to sell one. So he asked a price that's too high to satisfy his wife's request, then tells her "it's not selling for a reasonable price honey, so i am going to keep it" :d
