Just purchased this scope from CTCsupplies and I have to say I love it. I put it in a Burris P.E.P.R. mount and took it to the range. Was averaging 1 and a half to 2 inch groupings at 100 meters with a 1 inch high zero as per the manuals recommendation for 147 grain 7.62x51 ammo. Hitting steel out to 400 metres after I zeroed the optic was almost too easy with the ACSS reticle. I found the glass to be very clear and the ACSS reticle makes longer distance shots a piece of cake. I would highly recommend this optic for any 556/762x51 shooters out there looking to get a good optic for under $500. Feel free to ask questions and I’ll ask them the best I can.

How does the glass rate against other brands of scope, is the reticle etched as well?

well I originally had a holosun red dot, loved it but wanted more magnification. Tested the PA 1-6X ACSS at 25M, 100M and 200M. It was easy to sight in, was easy to aquire targets. Not sure how it will fair while hunting

I've heard guys recommend that instead of zeroing a BDC scope at the "baseline" 100yard distance that the manual recommends, you get better accuracy to your long distance reticle marks by zeroing to the longest distance mark you want to use. That way you end up with the best possible tracking across the distance hashes over the entire range.

Good choice ....

Well I seriously considered this scope but felt the reticle was going to be too busy for a hunting optic. Picked up a Scorpion Venom Max 1-6x24 30mm tube with a German #4 reticle. The glass looks pretty good actually so I am going to give a try on my short range + - (300 yd) bush rifle. Decent price on sale so I am not out much money if I don't like it. I can always put it on my AR later.
