I loved the add.
What an absolute trash ad.
Amazing, since the PWS said ZERO about why you should purchase their firearm, or how it was any different than the 500+ others on the market
The ad is indeed puke-worthy but advertising in general is aimed at the lowest common denominator. Smart people don't buy things based on ads, period. Doesn't matter if it's a great ad or recycled, cliched-filled garbage like the video above. And the average consumer...well, that's the primary demographic for "Guts, Glory, Ram", "it's got a Hemi", shamwow and hot chicks with guns protecting their "heritage" (who can't even hold guns properly because their boob jobs get in the way).It was one of the worst I've ever seen. It felt like they just took every standard firearm-related quote they could muster, blended it with sappy music, and added the "freedom" and "simple times" visual element of the man/woman/kid/dog in the forest/river. However, judging from the comments above -- it apparently worked! Amazing, since the PWS said ZERO about why you should purchase their firearm, or how it was any different than the 500+ others on the market (well, other than the name, "modern musket".. you know, the gun-advocate name for the AR over the past decade).
Seriously, do you guys who posted above purchase vehicles based upon one-liners such as, "Guts, Glory, Ram" or because you see guys kayaking or jumping off of cliffs?
It's funny how gun owners attack Obama supporters because they blindly follow him based upon rhetoric. It appears firearms manufacturers are very much like Obama -- just dangle simple images and different rhetoric and watch the masses flock!
so-so ad... as usual, they take all the pro-gun quotes and bundle them into a commercial.. and as usual, this will only appeal to people who are already strongly pro-2nd
I'd rather see an ad showing how much fun you can have with guns. Maybe next time they can shoot a similar commercial but where its a small group of friends going camping and having a blast with their AR15s, doing some small shooting drills etc. You know, try to go after the younger demographic that may be sitting on the fence, or not even thinking about guns and the 2nd amendment in their day-to-day lives.
