Why do these seem to be impossible to find in Canada? All other components are easy to find. I want to get into shell reloading but if I can't get hulls... And I know I can pick up once fired hulls from range but I'm looking more to reload slugs and would much prefer 3" hulls. Thanks

Haven't ever seen primed shotgun shells in 40 some years. BNIB shells aren't terribly expensive. Don't pick up empties without asking first. Lot of ranges sell 'em.

You could try Bilozir Fine Guns and Reloading,I was just on their website a short while ago and they are showing primed hulls for sale.

Thanks I had already tried them but powder and primers are only available for pickup at the store. That would be a very long drive for me....

3" primed or once fired are going to be a tough find in canada. I ordered my last 500 out of the US and had Prophet river handle it from there.
Some guys ask outfitters that do a lot of goose and duck hunting to save them all the 3 and 3 1/2 inch and buy them from them at the end of the season. Other than that try the EE maybe someone has some 3" in their stash to sell. Be lucky to get usable 3" once fired up here
Cheers

Call Will back. IIRC Primed hulls are not considered hazardous like packed primers. I know we ( myself and forum member Cory the Cowboy) have had primed hulls shipped from Bilozar on several occasions.

anything with a liove primer in it, whether a primer, loaded ammo, or primed hulls, are dangerous goods and must be shipped accordingly. :(

Thanks I'll ask them. I assumed a primer was a primer regardless whether it was in a gullor in a box. They can get all of bpi's products?

Humm to bad Prophet River was not the canadian distributor for some one like Precision Reloading then we would all have no problems getting the hulls, steel shot etc .
Hint Hint :) :)
By the way all the best Clay in 2014 the girls in university have taken away my mad money for guns for a little while but we will be back soon I hope. Few new 28 ga out there I have to add to the herd Cheers

Yup, still have a box of 1000 12g Fiochi primed hulls and 800 .410 primed hulls (both 2.5" and 3") from Will. Maybe things have changed, I bought these a few years back ..

All the same Darryl as Clay indicated. How they were shipped is the only issue. Sure you can buy them and have them shipped to you and Cory as long as shipped properly

I just got some 3.5" 12ga from Wil Bilozir a few weeks ago. I can't recall exactly when I ordered them - pretty sure just before Christmas - but they were sent in a cardboard box via Canada Post and I had to sign for them at the local post office. 100x Fiochi and 50x Federal - all primed (Fio 616 and Fed 209).

Shipping from Alberta to eastern Ontario was 20$. I can say that I never got an email response from repeated requests but my phone call was returned within 24hrs.

Thanks for the info on prophet river. There are some precision products I'd like. And I received an answer from bilozar and bulk primers need special shipping but primed hulls do not and bpi have a lot of good products too. And I live an hour away from hummason so I've got a source of powders and primers.

I contacted prophet river. They told me they don't sell shotshell reloading supplies and precision reloading told me they don't have a Canadian distributor

Sorry you misunderstood my post to Clay which was.

Ah you were responding to prophet river to start carrying their products. My misunderstanding. I thought you were saying they did. Thanks

I wish they did. I have bought a lot of stuff from Precision reloading over the years but now all they will send to canada is some reloading gear. No more components not even wads or empty hulls
They have a nice selection of gear too bad no canadian distributor
