Was just looking on the Gunbroker USA website and as examples of what's going on down there, the current high bid for a 500 lot of CCI Small Pistol primers, with a day's bidding still left to go, is currently at $205.00 US after 40 bids. Another one is for a lot of 1000 CCI Small Pistol primers and it stands at $305.00 US after 2 bids with 1 day left to go.
It can only get worse once Crazy Joe and the Dimocrats take power.
And here I was thinking paying $60.00 CDN locally for 500 CCI Small Pistol was too much.

I have a couple boxes ( cases) of primers sitting for next gun show. I do look for Rem 7&1/2 when I’m in a shop. All my brass in cartridges I shoot, is loaded and ready to go. Will be interested in what demand for brass primers and bullets will be come spring. I hope show can happen then.

Thank goodness I bought up all the primers left at the close of Wholesale sports a couple of years ago as well as some powder that nobody wanted. Industry will eventually catch up but it will be hard going for the next couple of years like it was when Obama took office.

I asked my LGS to order in 50k primers for me. He checked and said he can't get much anymore and to buy what I need now that was in stock. The shortage is coming.

I have enough to get me by for 3-4 years for the handguns. Probably the rest of my life for large rifle. Powder and bullets will be my issue.

Bricks of 1000 Large rifle have very nearly dried-up Canada wide and what LR primers you do see are now being sold by the 100 count at jacked-up prices.
Before you type that your LGS still has plenty of LR primers you better hold your tongue and drive on down there and scoop some.

So do the dealers do us dirty when they break open their 50$ bricks to sell a sleeve for 8 bucks or are they helping the community by ensuring the vultures/hoarders don't take what little is left?

1 large = one purchase = 1 clerk/cash time = you get a deal

10 small purchase = 10 times clerk/cash time

Have you noticed when you go to the supermarket for apples the bag 8-10 of apples is cheaper that than if bought 8-10 of apples where you get to pick out each one

I stocked up a bit a while ago as I could see this coming, I have enough primers on hand to get me by for a while.

If primers could even be had for dealers to order, they'd be $48/brick + hazmat delivery fees. Be lucky to find any primers to buy, at any price

I actually think I have paid less for primers in the past year than in recent memory. X reload in October had Rem7.5 for $32/K. Just 2 weeks ago Higginsons had BR-2 for $64/K. SFRC had those Rem5.5 for cheap too.

Just have to be fast and plan ahead.
