Primer choice for cold weather

I am wondering what primers to use in a .280 rem for use in cold weather. Is it fine to use magnum primers? Any ill effects to using magnum primers even if the weather is not cold? How about on small rifle calibers. Any ill effect on using magnum primers to ensure consistent ignition on those cold January coyote mornings?

They are Ok as long as you work up your load.

All the best 270 loads I have worked up used magnum primers.
