Primer choices

I only reload for .223 and locally there is a brick of Remington small rifle primers available. I have a few hundred Winchester but was thinking of using CCI next. Are the Remington primers OK, and is approx $75.00 plus tax too much for 1000?

That's about twice what you should have to pay for 1000.

Remington small rifle primers are good ones, they come in 2 different flavors; 6 1/2, and 7 1/2. One may be more expensive (I'm presuming it to be the 7 1/2), but not $75.00 expensive.

What?!?!?!?!? Are they freaking nuts!?!?! $75 for 1000 primers is a total ripoff. LeBaron sells a brick for under $30

Le Baron has packs of 1000 CCI small rifle, small pistol, large rifle, large pistol for just over $25.00 each.

You could get 3000 CCI from them for what the other store wants for 1000.

47 bucks for 1K Remmy small rifle primers here in Winnipeg. Way too muck money, Winchester small rifle unavailable. 32 bucks for 1K CCI's. Bought 4000 CCI's the other day at the aforementioned price.

Thanks for the info. I just called there and it's $74.90 for 1000 Remington 7 1/2 Benchrest primers and $6.49 per 100 of the regular Remington primers. I guess I'll be making a trip to Saskatoon to get some more one of these days.

And my buddy laughed at me when I bought 14000 primers over 3 days for an average of $30/k. Oh well.

KDX. Did you ask if they included a bottle of a**l lube for that price ???
