Primer pierce opinion needed.

you do not have a problem with your rifle
what i see from the picture is primer leakage
if you do have a future problem it could be loose primer pockets
i would discard that 1 pc of brass but first take it apart and check primer and pocket
i am thinking you either have a loose primer pocket
or when you put primer in you damaged primer
or had bit of cleaning media at the edge of primer pocket and seated primer on top of it and damaged primer

I forgot to mention I did remove the primer to inspect it and the gas didn't leak around the primer it went through. Im thinking it was a bad primer. They do fit on the loose side for new brass. If they do leak one should see a track up the side. Nothing there.

This is a primer with a weak spot in the cup, without a doubt, not a loose primer pocket. I had a lot # of Alcan primers that did this with about every 10th primer, even with moderate loads. Made little craters in my boltface, so I discarded the rest of them. The cases you show have no indications of high pressures, so I am willing to say you just got a bum primer. Keep an eye on that lot # to see if it happens again. If so, I would contact the primer manufacturer and let them know. Regards, Eagleye.

I had a bad brick of a 1000 Remington primers and they were letting go at the edge as yours did. Out of 20 rounds eight primers burst at the edge and I failed to catch this because the load was never a problem before and I wasn't checking the primers after each shot.
I contacted Remington and found out there was a recall on this lot number of primers due to defective cups. Remington replaced the rifles etched bolt and refunded the primers.
