primer powered wax bullets: 38 S&W

I used to shoot wax bullets in the basement from a Ruger 45colt, at 15 ft accuracy was good if i remember right. The quality of the wax makes a difference, i think i had some left over from canning. I don't remember what size drill i used or what they recommended in the book i got the info from. Just make sure those cases don't get used for regular loads, i cut a small groove with a file on the rim of the case for identification. I later got some plastic bullets that where a little better for accuracy and used the same cases.

Bore 38spl. flash holes to 1/8". Warm block of parafin wax and cases until wax is flexable. With a expander die remove any crimp from previous loading so case is very slightly flared. Check flared cases will go in revolver chambers. Place warm wax on old cookie sheet and press cases into wax. Rock cases slightly and lift out. Put cases in freezer until ready to use. Cases may be primed either before or after putting in freezer. Works for me, can't see that it wouldn't work for 38S&W.
