primer prices on average?

I haven't bought that many primers as I am new to re-loading but have found the price varies widely from $3.50/100 to $5.25/100 around here. They are still cheaper than percussion caps for my black powder guns which cost after tax about $8.00/100.

Have not been buying too many lately, but typically I can still find them around $32-$35/1000, sometimes cheaper, I just won't pay more for them, as if I wait I can find at my price so far.

I don't know why so many small gun stores want to mark up primers so much. I can maybe see if your selling them in boxes of 100, but a full brick shouldn't be 50-100% more then they are elsewhere.

Instead of paying hazmat fee's come over to the Provost Gun show on March 3rd and 4th, if you PM me I can probably line you up with a dealer that can bring you a large quantity if you want.

Last spring i paid $60/2k small rifle primers, just picked up some Wolf large rifle primers on clear out for $18/1k. Didn`t need the large rifle as i have 4k on hand but i`m a sucker for a good price. Haven`t used the wolf primers before but should work fine in hunting ammo.

The wolfs work fine for every rifle cartridge I have used them in.if I can swing thre time off, the provost show might be the best bet!

I just bought CCI BR-2 for $49.95/1000 so I can't see me spending more for large pistol primers.

My last order was for S&B small pistol primers from CanAm and the price was 29.95/1000 with free shipping (order was over $100). Had to act fast on that one, they've been sold out ever since.

I usually pay 26.95/1000 locally for CCI small pistol primers with an additional 5% off if I buy 5000 which I usually do.

I don't even think during the so called primer shortage around here did prices ever hit $60 dollars a thousand. if I were you I would tell everyone I know to not shop in that place .

just bought 1000 winchestor primers for 45 bucks. nice to have known some prices while shopping around for them. see how these work for me

The wolf primers i got came from a shop in Saskatoon, they were clearing them out.
