primer problem

i put a primer in my 338lm backwards.is this a throwaway now or can i safely get it out.thanks

Just push it out slow and you can reuse the brass.

You should be able to get them out using a depriming die with no problem..just go slow, it should be reuseable

As a precaution place a rag over the press just in case it might ignite

I was going to say WD 40, but I guess it really is the same thing.

Push it out slowly and it's fine to re-use. I've done it more than once no issues. Slowly.

I have de-primed upside down primers many times. I doubt you could deliberately hit it hard enough with a decapper to fire it, if you tried.

Just deprime the same way you would any other primer.

Just as an after thought, wear some safety glasses or face mask.
If you really feel unlucky, ear plugs, gloves and a leather apron.
