Primer Shortage - I've been living under a rock.

I’m brand new to reloading, bought a partial kit used this week and went to a store today to buy a few things I was missing (dies, trickler, deburring tool and a few other odds and ends).

I wasn’t intending to buy primers yet because I thought they were out of stock everywhere… seems like I got lucky since they had just gotten 4 bricks of Federal Large Rifle Match primers in that day, bought one brick and that should get me going for now. Seems like the price was fair enough all things considered, I paid $150 + tax.

I road tripped and got three bricks of #34s and 1 brick of #41s at 145 per brick. The guy seemed shocked that I paid that, he then produced to OLD 100s of magnum that I scooped up at 25$.
So the trip was worth it. I have a ton of brass to refill with pixie dust bang buttons and freedom seeds. I was waiting for the buttons.

I learned my lesson during Obama's first term and the ensuing shortage. I started ordering bulk after that.

Shooter's Choice in Waterloo had their big summer sale a couple weeks ago. I bought small pistol and small rifle primers and they were a great deal in this day and age. They had cases left after the sale...

'Guys can do your own research...
All I'll tell ya is it's a
CGN sponsoring dealer

Still hurts though.... 'wasn't that long ago you could get 1000 small pistol for $30 or less.
Come on. Do you seriously expect people here to believe you are buying primers in 2024 at 50 cents on the dollar?
