Primer substitution?

Hello

I'm wondering if I can substitute small rifle primers in place of small magnum in my 357?
I'm assuming the rifle primer will be sufficient to hold up to the magnum pressures.

I've used small rifle in place of small pistol in my 40 S&W. Adjusted powder load down and could definitely see the difference in firing pin don't size and depth.

CCI says that their small magnum pistol primer and the small rifle primer are the exact same primer so you should be good to go

Definitely. I use a lot of SRP's in my 357 mag loads. Just understand that the cups are pretty hard on most brands. Make sure you can set off the primers before making a crap load.
