PRIMERS at 500 per K

$500 would buy 1000 Fed 210m primers at auction in August.
$700 will now.

Or $2000 like that douche in the EE. I'm all for making a profit but he has to know nobody in their right mind is going to pay that even if they were the last primers in Canada. For that price people would just buy factory ammo and not bother reloading.

I was in the States less than a week ago, and found some in a little gun store - they did not have many - so I bought 2000 for 260$ US + taxes + exchange - and come home to find that I really don't need them - now tell me what I should charge to sell them.

How to ship?

Edit: Wifey says that it was more than I thought - 286 in US$ + 13% at the border. So 286 US = 392$ CAN showing on my Visa + 13% = 442$ Canadian for two bricks. If someone wanted to convince me to go back to the States and get some more, and find a method to ship, or ask a friend to deliver them, what should they offer me to do that?

Beginning of 2020 Higginsons had BR2s for $59 a brick. I mentioned it to a few shooters I know and they said too much $$$. Glad I stocked up. Only issue I might have is Large pistol primers.

These threads are ridiculous and hilarious, who cares what someone asks for something, honestly.

I don’t care if they ask $1000 per primer, why should you?

Market demand dictates value, always has always will.

If you’re so upset start a primer manufacturing plant and help meet demand, crying on the internet is pointless.

And yes, in my province large rifle magnums sell the same day posted on the other gun sales website for $500… perhaps they should ask $1000… again who cares.

I agree. That and the moderators seem to be letting a lot of threads b1tching about the EE go.

I get it, people are generally in a pissed off mood lately and I feel it too, I agree with a more tolerant and lax rule set during these difficult times people need to vent.

I never knew one could bring primers into the country from the USA. Hmmmm….

ITAR makes it an offense in the USA to export them... so it is not legal, however you're already out with them, so they don't really know. But if some way some how you were caught at the American side about to exit.... it's probably jail time

I just keep looking around. You don't have to spend ridiculous amounts if you are constantly searching. I bought 2k Ginex sp primers last week for 180 tax and shipping inc. Yes, they were 30 bucks per k before the pandemic but they are not now and I want to shoot so I bought them for plinking.

Powder was insanely expensive the last year and a half but stock is starting to build up at gun shops so the price will start to come down. Primers are really scarce (particularly LR and LRM) so they are pricey on EE. I don't blame people for inflated selling. If you own a house and it has appreciated 20-30 percent in the last few years do you expect people to give you a discount? The market is the market...

You want to reload and you have no stock pay or wait. Waiting will keep the primers at the "douches" house:)

You understand that you are admitting to have illegally exported ammunition components from a foreign country? Get caught inside the US and you could be in for some very serious legal problems.

There is a HUGE difference between exporting from the USA and importing into Canada. One of those things is perfectly legal and one is completely illegal and has the potential to get you into a ton of trouble.

Apparently Fiocchi is building a new primer plant in Arkansas, too bad someone couldn't set one up in Canada:

Do you mean ITAR? If so, I don't think that primers of the boxer or berdan type are covered by ITAR.

https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-121

Category III, d, 10:

(10) Primers other than Boxer, Berdan, or shotshell types;

Doesn't matter if primers are covered by ITAR. As a foreigner, you may not export firearms parts, ammunition or components from the USA. Don't confuse export from USA with import into Canada. They are not the same and the rules and enforcement agencies are also not the same. Screw around inside the USA and you could find yourself in some very serious legal troubles ... in the USA.

Plain English. If you get to the Canadian border you can bring them in.
If you are caught on the U.S. side they will nail you big time. Not allowed to export from the U. S.
