Primers for 300 wsm?

Hey guys, Fed 210 or Fed 215 for 300 WSM....180BTSP and IMR-4350.

use large rifle magnum (215) and work up the load
or use whatever your reloading book recommends and work up the load

I've read to use both, some say standard large rifle primers work better some say magnum primers work better....just curious as to what guys here are using.

I use magnum primers in pretty much any case that uses consistently more than 60 grns of powder..........and always with ball powder. So yes I use CCI 250s in my 300 WSM, you can sub in Fed 215s if that's what ya got. I don't know they work any better it's just an old "rule of thumb" that I use.

I use IMR 4350 and magnum rifle primers with 165g pills. Standard primers worked but were less accurate in my rifle.

Ive always used standard primers with 223 and ball powder and had zero issues over more than 2k rounds.
I question the always use magnum primers thing.

The .375 head cases hold so little powder that I doubt you would see a difference..........I was referring to 308 sized cases and larger..........
