Primarily I am using Win Large Rifle Primers for my R700 (.308)
Win. Small Pistol Primer for my beretta 9mm. (Just ran out)
CCI#300 LPP for my .45 ACP (1911)
I have been happy with these.... no complaints.
Started loading .357 for my marlin lever.... needed some more SPP.
Store I went to didnt have the CCI ones and said Federal isnt too soft and will be just fine.... I smile and nod and buy 500 to test.
Almost every single primer I have pushed into my .357 case has a mark or a dent on it now..... at first I thought a grain of powder got between my plunger and the primer causing those dents.... but after a good cleaning and blowdown with my compressor it is still doing that.
Thoughts? Is federal SPP garbage or is there thoughts that somehting else is in play?
Thanks
