Princess Auto $29.99 Pellet Gun

I bought one a few years ago, shot real close to 500 fps. Took it apart to clean, smooth and lube it and the spring had quite a bit of preload.

Got another one a while ago on a rainy day just for something new to tinker with. It shot around 250fps, could watch the pellet fly. Took it apart for a look see, figured it was a bad seal. The spring was way shorter, with no preload. Very unhappy with it so I returned it the next day and got a Beeman P17 instead as I knew it was a decent gun.

Best value these days for cheap guns would be the P17 for a pistol and the Ruger Airhawk (if you find it for around $100, even at $150 it's a good gun) the Airhawk is a chinese clone of the Diana 34, a very nice clone!

I got one of them about 9 months ago and mine must be one of the good ones and when I tried to see how far it would shoot one day at the cottage over a mirror smooth lake surface I was amazed to see the pellets hit the water about 100 yards out and at 10 yards the pellets go straight through a steel coffee can. My one also looks like it was made a long time ago as the box looked old and it has a oak stock (exact same wood as my hardwood floor) and my buddy got one as well at the same time but his has a very plain looking hardwood stock but shoots just as far!

I put up a string of those old non-led Christmas lights that didn't sell in the garage sale last year. At about 10yds I got more hits than misses.:)
