I use a counter sink tool in an electric drill to champfer the primer pocket to cut out the primer pocket crimp. This fast and easy.

I buy the tool at Home Hardware for about $7.00 It lasts about a year.

I see Princess Auto has them on sale 4 April to 16 April.

A set of 5 (different sizes) for only $10.00

If you want good sharp countersinks, buy Melin, double ended 6 flutes in HSS comes in various point angles, 60° is good for a lot of brass related work. KBC sells them. (3/8 is about $30)

Princess auto and hardware store stuff is good if you need to put chatter all around a hole and push a burr in it.

The cheap ones are intended for champfering wood and get dull after about 10,000 cases. Until then I just need a light touch with the electric drill to cut a nice edge off the crimp. When it gets dull it needs more pressure to make the cut and its time to get a new one. Never had one chatter yet.

The Princess ones are advertised as High Speed Steel. Maybe they will last longer.

I need a new one about once a year.
