Princess Auto Spotting Scopes?

No problem, Canadian Tire has one for $100 that is apparently not too bad. Last time they were on sale they were only $50 though... Costco also has one for around the $100 mark - something to consider maybe. Best of luck.

I bought one thinking what's to lose. The answer is --- about $30. Terrible stuff and missing part(s?). They sure do take stuff back with no questions asked though!

Absolute crap. Not even close to the entry level regular brands (like Bushnell, Tasco). The same opinion about their binoculars. Whenever I'm in there and see someone looking at the optics, I am tempted to warn them but I remember I'm in someone else's store and keep my mouth shut. Phil.

Chinese imitation of a Russian scope, had one of those, cheap set of binoculars would serve you better.

I bought the Cantire special. Label is "Bushmaster" and regular price is $99. I got mine on sale for $49. They go on sale about every 8 weeks or so. It is OK quality for under $100 and up to 150 yrds. It has variable zoom but on the highest zoom magnification it tends to cost image quality. For my purpose, it does the job.

I the PA one. It is useless at the range, I can't see .22LR holes in my target at 50 yards.

Has anyone considered using a camcorder as a spotting scope?

Cheap ones like this still have a 48x optical zoom. Plus, you can record all of your shot placement, or turn it on yourself to check your form (flinch), or youtube the more reactive targets like bottles of pop and cans of spray foam insulation.

I like some of the PA stuff. Buddy bought one of those spotting scopes -> garbage. I picked up one of the Costco ones that was $99 on sale for $50, not high end optics but works ok for 100 to 150 yards.

/\ what is the Costco one called? And does anyone have a pic? If it works at 100 yards, I'll grab one. If it is useless (like my PA one), I'll pass.

The brand on the Costco one is 'Meade' as search of costco.ca shows the current price at 84.99. Pretty sure it was on special when I picked it up for $50 or less.

I saw one guy on the internet with a 2 laptops, a high quality remote control webcam, and a long range directional wireless network. I think he said the whole setup cost him under a grand, and he could see bullet holes very easily, even at range. I thought it was a pretty slick setup.
