Call me crazy but...
Has anyone considered using a camcorder as a spotting scope?
Cheap ones like this still have a 48x optical zoom. Plus, you can record all of your shot placement, or turn it on yourself to check your form (flinch), or youtube the more reactive targets like bottles of pop and cans of spray foam insulation.
Just a thought...
HAHAHAHA.... SPRAY FOAM!!!! Im not the only one out there!! hahaha... Camcorder is awesome way if you got the optics ... I use mine on occasion .. the newer cams with the hard drive built in is excellent... Although i'd love to bring my laptop out and do a setup with the cam just for the bigger picture!!
