I just got off the phone with the cfc . The web site said my license was issued and to watch for 2 weeks . I phoned to check when the two weeks started and it was printed yesterday!!! Should be in the mail today. "POSTMAN POSTMAN DON'T DELAY, DO THE CHA CHA ALL THE WAY!!!!!"

if you really can't wait, call the CFO now and ask them for your PAL #. Then head down to your store and buy your first, probably NR, and give them your #, dob and the license expiry date (5years after issue date, ask for that on the phone also) and whatever else they want, and the gun store should have no problem not seeing your PAL when the transfer goes through.

I got my first shotgun, (18" 870) 8 days before I got my card in the mail. No ammo then because they need to see it to sell it to you, but I made due.
