Printing on the barrel of my mosin

I noticed some printing on the barrel of my mosin under the handguard. I have need seen this before. Any idea when this would have been done, in Russia, canada or somewhere in between?

Russian sporting arms export mark. Known as a Molot markings.

Mine have the same markings, Molot is the exporter.

Both my M38s have that diamond symbol above the tang, under the bolt. Haven't checked the barrel like yours though. Probably the same.
We should consider ourselves lucky because many American examples have their export markings printed right on the side of the reciever. Really ugly placement.

Yeah, the Yanks get one big ugly script on the receiver. Their SKSs are also import marked. Fugly.

Luckily its under the hand guard. My M95 has markings right behind the front sight.
