Prioritizing the wish list

So I'm a new shooter (just passed the courses today!) and my wish list is growing rapidly. Initially, I had 3:

  • Remington 870P - 14" barrel if possible
  • Tikka T3 or Sako A7 in .308
  • Vintage low-end Anschutz .22 for target practice

Now that I will have my restricted license, I am feeling the need for a handgun. I have access to a .22LR handgun that I can borrow long term so practicing the basics will be taken care of. I haven't done my due diligence yet (test drives to follow!) but the models I am considering are:
  • Springfield Mil-Spec .45 or similar (unlike with the other handguns in the training class, I almost put my finger on the trigger during instruction because it just went there so naturally...)
  • Smith-Wesson M&P40
  • Beretta 92FS (most appealing, but not sure of 9mm)
  • Sig P226 .40

Any advice would be appreciated. Any firearms I am overlooking? :nest:

Personal preference really, personally, m&p .40 I have one and love it, decent trigger, cheapest of the bunch listed and you don't have to worry about double single actions or safetys. Sigs are also nice, but much more expensive, spend the extra money on ammo and you will be better. I would hold off on the 1911 till you gain a little more experience.
Jut my 2 cents

By em as you find em man. Let er rip no point in holding on to money it doesn't make any noise or make things fall down or blow up. You only live once and all that crap.
Be safe and proud. Shoot everything you can get your hands on!
