Prism 1x and seeing double

I found the diopter / adjustable ocular focus setting process to be the most difficult of any optic I've ever tried. To me it is very difficult to find the 'right' setting. Ultimately I ended up trying to 'guess and check' while looking at a 150m gong with two eyes open. And then it didn't help that the adjustment moves during transport and/or shooting, which I didn't realize until it had moved a lot. Then I marked it with a silver sharpie, and now I put it back in the correct position every time I pick up the gun.

You don’t mention but are you adjusting the diopter on the prism scope so the reticle is crisp?

Yes i am but if i go with the most crisp reticle i can i end up with a blurry target and negative zoom. So i put it in the best middle ground i can between crisp reticle/blurry target and blurry reticle/clear target.

Well that should not be an issue with this optic as it has flip up lens cover so if the focus move i will notice it as the lens covert wont open where i want it to

Went to the range today and at 25m i still see double with this scope. Not going to try anymore its not worth it ill get a run of the mill red dot and just solve the issue that way. Anyone considering a 1x prism optic should try to handle one first its really not made for everyone
