Prismatic Scopes

..are very cool, but I don't seem to find a lot of affordable ones out there. I bought a Burris AR 332 and found that I really like the shortened size of these things. I kind of wanted to get one in higher magnification - either in 5x or variable 3-9, but there doesn't seem to be very many of these in the $300-$500 price point - or at any price point for that matter. I found the Burris 536 at 5x, and the vortex at 3x - but not much else.

So, are there any manufacturers that offer a prismatic 5x-9x-ish fixed or variable that I need to know about?

nvm, I didn't fully read the thread and see you already mentioned the ar-536.

I have yet to see a prismatic scope that is a variable. The whole premise behind the prismatic is a simpler system then a multi element lens based optic, and in a smaller package. Trijicon ACOG's are the quintessential prismatic optic and you get what you pay for.

I noticed a primary arms on the EE in 4x but - correct me I'm wrong - there is currently no primary arms distributor in Canada.

A quick check says you are right, but only two models. Maybe they can special order me the 5x.

From what I read, if it is in stock/available on Rainier Arms website then it can be had through CTCS.
