Private Message Issues with Replies Disappearing

Hi folks, this might be a silly question but today I've tried to reply to 2 PMs in my inbox, when I hit "submit" my responses just disappear. Can't find them in the original message, nothing in my sent box. Any thoughts? Thank you!

You cannot send messages if your retained message quota is full. Clear your saved messages.
