Thanks for the support from those that don't have prejudices.
You can't just pick and choose who to be thankful for. I'm not talking about you here but imagine a doctor signs off on a patient because they want to become a hunting guide and live in the bush. Then rcmp find 5 dead guys and a suicide along some canoe route. They trace it all back to one person with a mental issue and find doctors letter saying that person should have a gun.
Imagine the hell that would break lose.. Doctors life is ruined, so are all the families involved.
Even to every Canadian trying to get a PAL the process is painstakingly long, throw some hurdles in the loop and it is even longer.
My advice is to not rush it. If it takes 2 years just be thankful this country allows fire arms.
I'd also recommend finding a job as a helper at an outfitter lodge, start off slow, do the dishes , clean the place. Eventually they'll teach you how to skin animals, take you out on off hour hunts. If you want to become a guide so bad dedicate your life to a place and they'll show you the same respect back
