hey guys
Today was indeed very disappointing. I was shooting my DA Socom 18 when first shot a very aggressive round went off, blew the bottom of my magazine out, lots of smoke and a casing stuck in the chamber. I was shooting Tulammo - which seems loaded pretty hot. The end of the case was chewed off and I found it on the ground without a primer attached.
I will include a pick of the case in the chamber. Any suggestions on how to remove this? I will check to see if a gunsmith can help me.
I tried to pull it out with some needle nosed pliers, but no luck.
I'm guessing I should no longer use that ammo as well. A fellow shooter at the range suggested that a brass case would not split like that - and I agree
disappointed, cause I do enjoy shooting this rifle. I hope it can be fixed without permanent damage!
