Drilled another yote today while scouting waterfowl again. Saw this one as I was following a flock of Canada's. He was not in a good place to stop get out and shoot so I continued up the road another 1/4 mile and turned into the same field he was in but on the other side of a tree lined ravine that split the field . I parked in an abandoned oil lease hiding my truck behind the old pump shack and got out with my rifle and e-caller. After about 20 minutes I was beginning to think about getting back to finding the geese when I see the tell tale sign that Mr.Yote is headed my way. A Raven and two Magpies were tree hopping along the bush line, they love to follow the coyotes. I couldn't see the yote as he left the bush in a low spot in the field but knew he was there as the Raven was hovering along following. I snuck up to the berm on the lease and looked over the top and there he was. I backed up a few feet and moved to an old pump jack for a rest. I got the crosshairs lined up for a chest but he suddenly turned and looked back at me. I could see him clearly checking me out with the scope on 18X and the yote a little less than 150 yards away. The angle was no good now for a chest shot so I put the crosshairs between the ears and touched the round off. At the noise the yote went down instantly without a twitch. I went back to my truck and drove across the field and picked up my kill. Here is a couple pics. As you can see the American Eagle 50gr JHP did the job!! Just a young one, this years pup.

Sorry about that Rob!! Guess I should have put "Graphic" in the title but I kind of figured the title "Problem Headache No 22-250 might provide a clue?!
