I have a problem with my Bausch and Lomb 3000 Elite 3x9 scope.

It has worked well on my BRNO 600 30-06. I moved it to my BRNO 602 .375 H&H and shot less than 10 round with it and then moved it back to my 600.

It holds it's zero and as before it shoots MOA with factory 30-06 ammo. The problem comes when I try to adjust the POI. The scope in the past has always been very predictable while adjusting but now it doesn't seem to move in a predictable fashion.

I have tried to centre the adjustment knobs and then shot it at 25 yards, but when I try to adjust the POI it goes every which way varying the POI up to 2-3 feet at 100 yards.

If I do not touch the knobs it stays zeroed and shoots MOA so it's not the rings or me.

Is it worth it to ship this scope to Bushnell for repairs? If yes, where should a BC guy ship it?

I'm starting to appreciate the Leupold warranty.

They should be good for it

That's what I thought too and there-in lies the reason for my absolute disgust and well known hatred for any vile product by Bulls**tnell  When I tried to return my faithful (back then top of the line) Scopechief for a warrenty repair, they wouldn't warrenty the scope and told me that the problem was caused by abuse  I contacted them and explained why I returned it again, they would not repair or replace the scope but did offer to sell me another  Although I still have a few Bulls**tnell scopes still kicking around, I wouldn't buy one of their products if it was the last scope on the planet :p Rant off

A very good friend of mine had a very similar experience.

Good luck Vern, your going to need it :D

I have not been pleased with Bushnell service. My 3000 was returned, supposedly fixed (many months) and sent back for the same problem. They replaced it with a 3200 which is still working. I had a Scopechief 4 that they first cleaned and calibrated under warrantee then when I sent it back for zero problems refused to fix it as they said it was too old, no replacement. Do yourself a favor and buy Leupold or Burris.

My experience too!!!

Perhaps if you tossed it in the garbage you would save yourself some postage, a trip to the post office and a bunch of grief.

Good Luck!

I have a Leupold VariX III 1.5x5 that I'll use on this falls elk hunt.

I'll still send the B&L 3000 in for servicing though.

The Leupold is a much better choice for your 602 anyways, as I am sure you all ready know. Far more classic looking as well

True but I will be hunting with my 24" BRNO 600 30-06. It's a lot lighter than the 602 and when you're walking for elk the weight will make a difference.

The B&L 3000 3x9 has been an excellent scope for my 600, maybe Bushnell will be able to repair it. Who knows?
