Problem with butler creek mag for 10/22

I read the bit in the 10/22 tips and tricks thread, but im not sure if im having the same problem..

i've got a steal lips 25 round mag and after almost every shot the bolt stays open and i have to manualy push it close to chamber the round.

the factory mag shoots fine and i was shooting winchester yellow jacket hp's
anyone know what the problem might be or is the one mentioned in the other thread?

obviously the bolt is rubbing on the top of the mag.
lock the bolt back and insert the mag,put some marker on the mag and see where it's rubbing once it's released.

thats what i thought too, but it only happens when firing, if i put the mag in and pull the bolt back and let it go, it doesnt catch

also should the bolt stay back when the mag is empty?

nope should go click on the last round.

are the rounds not feeding at the right angle?
getting caught on the ramp?

the rounds dont leave the mag

get in there and watch were they are getting snagged.

If it stays open after the last round it must be snagging on the magazine. Odd that you can manually close the bolt. does the magazine have any play to it? is it tightly in the mag. well?

i returned the mag to the shop and got a another one and it works just fine
