Hey guys i have a 1895 chileno mauser 95 sporter and the scope mounts are messed.

on the front i have #46 Weaver and on the back i have #45.

Them problem is that the back one is too tall.

When i put my scope rings on it and my scope its slanted pretty good. You can notice it right away.

Do i have the wrong size??

What size do i need.

I put this thread in the Gunsmithing But no one helped me out, So im asking you Guys.

It sounds like you have bases for a large ring Mauser. The 95's are a small ring Mauser. Specifically the front receiver ring is smaller in diameter than the 98 Mausers. Do a web search for Weaver bases and rings and look for the ones that fit small ring Mausers. You probably only have to change the rear one, but, check the numbers Weaver specifies.

Love the Burris steel mounts that come with the Torx screws and Torx wrench.
Especially for hard kicking rifles.
Torx is the only kind of screw that should be used on a gun.
I hate those stripping SOBs of flimsy shallow slotted flat heads that come with Weaver and other junk mounts.
Scoped (Leupold Rifleman 3-9X40mm) a Savage model 116 in .300 Win Mag today with the Burris steel mounts and Redhead QD rings.
They both took the same sized Torx screws and wrench.
On in 10 minutes and nothing buggered.

There's a chart on the Cabelas.ca (old SIR) website for what Weaver mounts to use for what and where.

Large ring Mausers (i.e. 98) use # 46 front and # 45 rear bases.

Small ring Mausers use # 46 front and # 55 rear.
