Problem with PX4 Storm magazine

Hi guys, I've noticed an issue with one of the magazines that came with my PX4. The first time I took it shooting, I had 3 FTF's (twice it jammed, once it didn't even chamber a round) and the last time I took it shooting, I noticed that occasionally the magazine would pop out after firing the first couple of rounds. I've taken the mags apart, cleaned them, and didn't notice anything obviously wrong with them. It seems to only happen with one of the mags, although I haven't isolated that mag yet, I just popped the mag back in, or cleared the jam and kept on going. I only have 2 mags and it only seems to happen with one mag at a time so I'm pretty sure it's the mag.

Any suggestions/tips/ideas? Would this be a warranty issue or something easy enough to fix on my own?

One would hope it's a warranty issue.

I am new to the world of Beretta mags (on a 92A1) having broken in my first pair this week. For me the tenth round made the whole mag too tight and chambering the first round resulted in a failure to chamber. A small slap into battery got it going fine. After the first round/casing was outta the mag and ejected, it fed like a dream with no malfunctions.

Perhaps there's too much pressure in the springs giving you some trouble? Do they load easily to capacity? Have you tried to pull a mag out without hitting the release button?

I'm probably not much help here, but good luck. I look forward to reading the other replies!

I've tried inserting both mags and tugging on them to see if they came loose, no dice. I also loaded both mags up with snap caps and rapidly cycled the action, and nothing came loose, and no FTF. The mags are new so they are a bit stiff, so I can understand it jamming occasionally, but it's a regular thing, only on one mag. The thing that really concerns me is the mag popping out. It happened to me and my friend I took to the range, so I don't think it's my grip hitting the mag release or anything.

I got nuthin on the why's. From what I heard about Beretta's service you may be in for a bit of a wait.
Does your store have a policy or do you have to ship to Italy/US. Either way I'd buy another and mail in the first one.
A man cannot go through life with just one mag...

PS. Let me know if you find a great source for beretta mags. I may be in the market for eleventeen more! I haven't looked yet.

I've got a PX4 and a whole load of magazines. For those looking for extras if your dealer buys from Stoger Canada they can order you a whole bunch any time. Every time I ordered new magazines they arrived at the gun store in just a few days.

To the O.P. if there appears to be no visual difference in the magazines after taking them apart - I'd say give them another try at the range. Check your grip. Make sure you're not hitting the release by accident. If there's still a problem mark the mag with some tape to identify it and send it back for warranty replacement.

Cool, thanks. Just waiting on a pin punch set to replace the the safety/decocker with the stealth levers for decocking only, then time to hit the range.
