Problematic SKS

For some reason my sks has started acting weird. Sometimes when there is one round left in the mag the bolt locks in the open position after the fourth round is fired. The fifth round chambers fine once the bolt is released. Any sugestions to fix this little anoyance would be greatly apreciated. SKS is a 50 tula in a tapco stock with the original mag with a frankenpin in it.

1) Check the the mag is properly degreased, especially around the hinge where the spring is that provides follower tension.
2) put the original stock back on and see if the problem disappears.

make sure the tail of the follower is straight , the tail is activating the bolt hold . may help to bend it down a wee bit .

I agree, focus on the follower but have a look at the 5rd magazine pin loose or ready to fall out.........
