This is the holster I'm using...

BLADE TECH (SRB) STING RAY BELT HOLSTER IDPA APPROVED G-19 RIGHT HAND CARRY

GLOCK 19
Now our most popular holster comes with our new (Sting Ray) belt Attachment. This attachment is wider than our standard belt attachment, thus providing a more stable platform, also being wider it tends to pull the gun in closer to the body, aiding in concealment. With the SR loop this holster can be adjusted from Straight Drop, to FBI cant to muzzle forward with just your standard screwdriver. This Belt holster is interchangeable with our paddle, Tek-Lok, Drop and Offset loops. Available in 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 at this time.
IDPA Approved.

I'm having a bit of a problem with the pistol sticking every now and again and pulling up on my belt/pants when presented. I've loosened the Blade Tech holster up as much as possible and locktighted it all; old leather belt is all snug and 1.5" It's almost like a need a 5lb weight to keep the hoslter down for a proper presentation. I'm also wearing 5.11 Tactical pants and it seems to have enought belt loops to do a proper job

I also have the Blade Tech holster in the forward cant position as I find it much easier. Any ideas on how to make it more solid and stop the pants/belt pulling.

It could be my technique perhaps of pulling the pistol out; should it be quick and fast with a snap to it or slow and steady? I do plan on finally taking my Black Badge this summer but thats still a few months away.

I'm presently using a leather belt that's not all that stiff. Would a more stiff of a belt helpout? Leave the G19 in the holster all the time? etc..

Any help would be appreciated

Would it be possible to use a belt that doesn't have to go threw belt loops, just plunk it on with the holster and mag holder already on?

Reason I ask is that sometimes I like to shoot naked .........

or wearing Jogging pants or shorts with no belt loops.

Thinking along the lines of this:

TT Duty Belt Pad

Designed to compliment the Tactical Tailor Duty Belt, our Duty Belt Pads prevent that uncomfortable 'digging in' of a loaded belt. Securely attaches to our Duty Belt with sturdy hook and loop closures and features a soft inner lining for added comfort. Comes in 3 sizes for use with our Small, Medium and Large Duty Belts. Available in Black, Tan and Foliage Green (ACU).

PLEASE NOTE: Duty Belt not included.

I was having a similar issue with a cheap Uncle Mike's Kydex holster that I got for my newly aquired M&P9. When I first tried it out at home, it was sticking and doing pretty much the same thing as what you are describing. Once I got out to the range for defensive night, I had no issues at all (aside from getting used to the new pistol/holster setup). I have since ordered a Riggers Belt from One Shot Tactical and will be doing up some sort of rig for my mag puches and holster. All those mags and a gun require a stronger belt. Though I don't shoot naked, I have been known to run a course in a tactical speedo. :p

The draw should always be a smooth deliberate motion. Start slowly until you have the technique, then get faster. Remember "slow is smooth - smooth is fast".

The draw goes something like this: From hands relaxed at sides, start sliding your hand up the holster to meet the gun. Let your midddle finger ride along the back edge of the holster as you raise your hand. This will leave your index finger free to take it's safe position along the side of the slide as the gun starts to clear. Once your hand meets the gun, pause to make sure of your grip (very important) then complete the draw in a smooth deliberate motion. If done correctly your index finger will fall naturally onto the side of the slide as the gun is rotated to point down-range. At the same time, the weak hand is moving to complete the grip just in front of your gut. Once done, the gun is pushed straight out to meet the sight line. As the front sight starts to settle onto the target, move your finger inside the trigger guard and you're ready to go.

Good luck on the black badge course.:)

Thanks Viper26 I appreciate the feedback.

In my case that's pretty much what I'm doing but when drawing the pistol out of the holster it give myself a half wedgie sometimes f:P:2: Rather frustrating. I'll be losing the belt and replacing it soonest with a normal belt as mentioned here with intentions of playing with IPSC and IDPA .
