Having issues loading .410 with Lil' Gun Powder.
Not enough bulk to properly fill up the hulls and make good crimps. Not just with Rem's STS but Win's HS and ever the Old AA's.
Eating up my precious supply of old AA Hulls blowing the crimped ends off.
Is it time to try Alliant's 410 or just go back to the time tested 296?

Are you using the new winchester wads or claybuster wads?? Did the lilgun work for you in the past??

Claybusters make the WAA410 wad and the WAA410HS wad it matters what you're using......................Harold

Hi Harold:
The old WAA410 for the old compression formed AA as you know has not been made for a few years now and are impossible to located any more. The new ones even though in their write ups say will work in the old compression formed they will not. They are too tight causing splits after one firing and too long to get the right crimps.
I just ordered in some orange pc-410's to try since I still have a ton of old compression formed to use up and no wads.
Is this what you are getting at??

Tried alliant 410 and hodgdon Little Gun, always end up back using WW296. The alliant .410 was very clean......Winchester should have just left the AA hulls alone, this HS stuff is bull.......Sounds like a wad problem if your loads are not long enough or to long....
