Hi All,

I bought a used SP-01 and Kadet conversion kit, and I'm having some major F-T-Fire problems. 30-40% won't fire on the first hit.

I have tried 4 kinds of ammo, and have the same problems with all. (different bullet weights, std vel and high vel)

The problem is that I get light strikes. I can see the strike on the end of the .22, but there is basically no deformation of the rim. (From the side, it is basically invisible.)

The main/hammer spring is still quite strong (similar to many others around the club).

Also, the rounds tend to fire when I re-shoot them double-action.

Any thoughts??

I have cleaned everything that I can get to. I have taken out the firing pin and cleaned it, the spring, and the tube it sits in. The end of the firing pin was NOT straight. A corner was missing, but it looked like it was supposed to be that way.

Can someone confirm that this is correct??

I have a feeling that something isn't coming into battery until first strike. The slide has 3 "bumps" on the way forward. (1) the hammer on the bottom of the slide, but all of the Kadets have that, (2) the right hand rail had a burnished spot, so I very gently polished it, and (3) the ejector. It seems like the major culprit for slowing the slide down on the way forward is the ejector.

Any thoughts??

Thanks!!

Sean
