A couple years ago (back when there was still FAC's) my dad was trying to move into a new house and needed permission of course to move his revolver from one house to another, he had gone to the RCMP who told him that they no longer handle the moving permits. He called (who I guess was the CFC) and of course it was nothing but an automated machine saying to leave his name and number they would call him back with confirmation (at the time there was no option to talk to a person unless THEY called you). He had told them that he works 4 days on and 4 days off (gave them times he works). He told them they would have to call him at home since his work allowed no calls from an outside number.
For 2 months the CFC ONLY called during the times when they knew he'd be at work (would leave messages) and never during the days he was off work. He would call them and leave more messages saying the times on when to call. Finally after two months he took the day off work due to being sick and finally caught the call. Meanwhile all his stuff (besides his revolver, a sleeping bag, and the phone) where moved into a new place already for a month.
Obviously this doesn't really happen anymore (I don't think) but did anyone else have any "stories" on the same lines, having to deal with the "CFC"?
