Problems with my Norinco 870 Clone

I have a shorty Norinco 870 clone that I bought used here. I'm having issues with it jamming and wondering what I can do with it.

Every time I fire a shot, the shell in the magazine pops out and jams inside the receiver. I'm guessing the shell latch is worn out.

Can I order a shell latch for a Remington? Where can I get that?

You could try bending the latch out very slightly. If it doesn't work you can order latches from brownells. Maybe one of the shotgun oriented businesses like S&J or tacord if you want somewhere Canadian. You need to stake them in, you can use a screwdriver but I found that to be a pain in the ass. I just borrowed a staking tool from someone that was nice enough to lend it.

Actually, I've heard you don't necessarily have to stake them. The front trigger plate pin will keep it from moving.

I might have a brand new set of latches at home if your interested, let me know by PM. I don't own an 870 anymore so they are no use to me.

I think the gun has more issues than just that. Probably going to part it out as I think the receiver is probably too worn to be used safely.

I bet it just needs a little tuning, most norincos do. When you say jam what do you mean? You said the shell pops out so if its making it onto the elevator then there's nothing wrong with the shell stop. How exactly is it jamming?
