I recently installed a casefeeder on my Dillon 550 RL and loaded about 700 - 800 rounds of 38 Super Comp on the setup without major problems. I've changed caliber on the press to 45 ACP with large primer pockets and that's when the problems started. On average, out of the ten cases the primers go in into 2 - 3, for the rest it's impossible to force the primer in on the backstroke. Tried with both CCI and Winchester primers - same result. I re-adjusted the centering of the primer push rod through the plate primer opening exactly as it is described in the casefeeder manual - no change. I have little experience in telling apart the cases with military crimp and the ones without, but upon close inspection there seems to be no difference between the primer pockets on the cases where primers go in and where primers don't go in. No idea what to do and try next
Any help would be appreciated.
