Problems with the m14 mag release

I've been having problems with my mag release. The pin that held it in kept sliding out so when I take out the trigger housing to take the m14 apart it would block it from opening out... If it makes sense.

Anyways so I swapped it out with a bigger extended one from NEA (I think). The pin slid out again and I bad to break it off to get the trigger housing out.

In other words I keep doing something wrong... Does someone have a DIY how to swap it correctly and where to get the correct pin to replace the broken one? Thanks...
 
Do you mean the role pin? If so it should not be hard to get one .

Yep Im in Vancouver. That would be sweet! Ill PM you.

As for installing the roll pin, is there anything im doing wrong, or is there a tip or special tool you can use? It keeps drifting out and causing this problem....
 
Well we need to pay it forward, I had some help from a member so...
And the m305'ers are good people =) As well as i dont want my DI*K too fall off !!!!
 
Don't use an allen wrench to tap out the roll pin, I learned this the hard way and just filed it off and left it in there. Don't take advice from me
