Well, I would like to share with the world the heart break that I've been having with my Kriss. I bought the non-restricted version just under a year ago, and after about 200 rounds through the gun the extractor/extractor spring/pin flew out of the gun never to be seen again. Also the fire control group went bust as well. I has been 9 months and been sent to the shop once to be fixed and I just got it back. ONLY the bolt was worked on. I don't know if it lack of communication between the retailer and the gunsmith, or just the lack of parts. But it's started to get on my nerves. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems?

That is unfortunate, I have never heard of problems with the Kriss Vector... Although I recently had a firearm I loved break on me as well so I feel your pain.

You likely don't want to hear this......I have over 2000 rds through mine, I've cleaned it occasionally. I would say you got the lemon.....

That's what I'm figured. I'm talking to the retailer and they've been really co-operative with the problem. I was hoping it wasn't an ongoing problem with the kriss carbine.

my kriss broke after 50 rounds but I didn't have the same problem that you did. my problem was that the trigger hammer sheared in half. I guess when they got it back inspected it, it was faulty metal with a weakness. They had never seen that problem before, either. It took 6 months for it to be fixed which was super super frustrating. Eventually I got the gun back and it hasn't had 1 failure to feed or 1 failure to fire yet or 1 failure to extract. It runs like a dream and I love it. Hopefully yours gets fixed soon.

Was it the hammer itself or the link bar that connects the trigger group to the fire control group?

I don't know it was the rectangle shaped piece of metal that you can move back and forth slightly, and is obviously under tension when you move it. That thing broke clean in half.

About 900 through mine, so fairly low round count still, but never had any problems after the gun was broken in (~150 rounds)

That's a serious bummer.

Got any photos of the damage?

Try contacting Kriss directly, I've spoken to them twice and while it wasn't about a problem with my vector they were very helpful and accommodating. Is the retailer dealing with the Canadian importer for warranty (North Sylva) or are they using their own gunsmith? Could be that the gunsmith isn't familiar with the vector.

I called them a few months back and they were very helpful. It's also how I got a parts list since the manual does not come with one.
