Product numbers don't match!

Just reloaded a batch of Sierra 150 gr FMJ/BT, and noticed the product #'s do not match from the bullet case to the manual! Can some one guide me on if I reloaded these cartridges wrong?

Nevermind, loading Sierras while looking at a Speer guide, doh.

Is the load for the bullet weight you used? If so then it is OK. If not then you may want to consider pulling them and getting the powder charge right for the bullet weight.

If you are worried about a 150gr bullet part # 2115 vs a 150gr bullet part # 2018 then you have too much time on your hands.

Nobody ever worried about this kind of stuff before the internet..........

No i realized that i used the Speer book, instead of my Sierra book... Could of been deadly as the max charge on the Speer is 46gr and the Sierra 45gr... lesson learned.

You were sure lucky to have avoided causing such a catastrophy, by not loading an extra grain of powder in your cartridge.

"...Could of been deadly as the max charge..." One grain won't matter. Neither does who made the bullet. Load for the bullet weight.
Manuals rarely agree anyway. They reflect the conditions of the tests on test day.

Always start from the bottom and work your way up

Reloading data is not intended to be an exact recipe, but rather a guideline. That's why they have a range of charge weights.
